Day and evening classes are available:
There are two daytime classes that run Monday through Friday.
The early class is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The later class is from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The evening classes are:
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
To get started in our program, you must attend and complete an orientation. You must attend all sessions of orientation without missing a session, being late or leaving early. After you have completed orientation, you will begin your classes and are enrolled in the program. Once you are enrolled in the class you choose to attend, you will be asked to commit to attend so many hours per week, depending on the time of the class.
Orientation will be offered once every month.
Orientation will be 3 sessions - Monday - Wednesday, - at the time of the class you choose to attend - AM Class 1: 8:00 am to 10:30 am, AM Class 2: 10:30 am to 1:00 p, or the PM Class: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Orientation will be on a first come basis only.
Please arrive at 15 minutes before your orientation session begins. If you come in after orientation has started you will not be allowed to attend that orientation.
The orientation will include all the initial testing and assessments that is needed to determine what you may need help with, how much, and where to begin. This will let your teachers know what areas you may want to concentrate on first. The teachers will show you what books you'll use; help you get started on the computers to work on specific areas; and re-test you often to show you your progress.
The High School Equivalency program operates all year, although we do follow the Jefferson City Public School calendar during the school year. When the school district is closed for breaks, holidays or inclement weather, we are also closed.
