Exploring AFNR (Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resouces) is an exciting new course for 8th-grade students at both TJMS and LCMS to experience all that encompasses the agriculture industry. This is a semester-based class that is filled with lots of projects and hand on learning activities that promote critical thinking, creativity, and (hopefully) instill a passion for agriculture within our community! Freshman students at the High School level (CCHS/JCHS) will be participating in the Introduction to Agriculture course where they will experience exciting “hands-on” activities, projects and unique problems to solve. Students’ experience in this class will revolve around learning communication skills and the science's of agriculture (plants, animals, natural resources, agricultural mechanics.) Along with that, students will also get the chance to survey the opportunities available in the agriculture, food and natural resources industries.
