"No one achieves anything alone." - Leslie Knope
My name is Jessica Hoskins. I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska but I've lived in Missouri for over 8 years so I consider it my home. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University *GO BEARCATS*. After spending those four years up in Maryville, MO, I decided to move even deeper into Missouri to Columbia where I received my Masters in Education for Secondary School Counseling from the University of Missouri. My main areas of interest are drug and alcohol interventions, motivation, and working with first-generation students.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Bobby Hoskins. We live in Columbia with our two cats Murphy and Maisy. We just welcomed our first kid to the world, Brendon Hoskins! Bobby and I love to travel! We've been to Washington DC, New York City, Riviera Maya, and many other places. We are huge movie fans and go any chance we get. We now spend most of our time cuddling our baby boy and our cats!
This is my third year working at Jefferson City Academic Center and I could not ask for a better place to work! I am passionate about what I do here at JCAC and love every single one of the kids that walks through my door! I strongly believe in being a part of student's support team and collaborating with others to achieve a student's goals. I am looking forward to making this school year a great one!
