I'm proud to be a JC gal! I attended Jefferson City Public Schools from kindergarten through graduation. Then I graduated from Lincoln University and started teaching at Jefferson City Public Schools. I completed my masters degree in Library Science and Information Services at the University of Central Missouri, so I provide comprehensive library and reading instruction to Belair students and literacy support to classroom teachers.
This is my 21st year in education. I taught 5th grade at Cedar Hill for 17 years and this is my 4th year as the Library Media Specialist at Belair.
My husband's name is Rich and we have 3 children who all attend Belair. Lanie is 10 years old and in 5th grade. Our twins are 8 years old and they are in 3rd grade. Their names are Kayleigh and Brody. I have a dog named Ginger who was a stray that showed up on the Belair playground and a black lab named Lucy.
When your child walks through my library door I want them to feel welcome and happy. My goals are to cultivate a love of reading, educate your child about books and technology, and build a relationship with your child so we can work together to learn and have fun in the library!
