Johnathan "JR" Royston is a Behavior Interventionist at both Belair and Cedar Hill Elementary Schools. He has worked extensively with our district behavior consultant, as well as, behavior interventionists throughout the JCPS system for the past seven years. He is entering into his 18th year as an educator and has served the past 7 years teaching 8th grade physical science at Lewis and Clark Middle School. Before that, he taught k-6 physical education in the Harrisburg school district and k-12 physical education and health in the Pilot Grove School District. It was at Harrisburg that he was also an assistant boys basketball coach that won state titles in 2006 and in 2008. He enjoys spending time outside of work with his family and in the outdoors. He and his wife, Kelly (LPN Program Coordintor at State Tech and Registered Nurse), have four children together and love to travel and attend sporting events. Education allows him to collaborate with others and combine his love of teaching and coaching.
