    Letter from Mrs. Rosburg:

Welcome. I am Mrs. Rosburg and I teach a variety of subjects. This year I am teaching Biology, Forestry, Small and Specialty Animals, Textiles I  and II, Intro to Astronomy, and Study Skills. Chances are you (or your child) will have me for one or more classes at JCAC.

I love teaching and I love learning! You will find that I like to listen more than I like to talk. I want to know what you are thinking, how you arrived at your conclusions, and how you learn. I am always open to new suggestions. If you have an idea for a project or a topic you would like to investigate, please feel free to let me know. I want you to be creative but also knowledgeable so we will be doing a variety of projects and exploring various learning strategies. I’m anxious to guide you in your learning process!

There are many things you are going to learn in my class and I am looking forward to getting you know you and your parents. The subjects that I teach are not easy and do require a lot of hard work and determination. Sometimes you will be frustrated. Sometimes you won’t want to participate. Sometimes you might even think that you can’t do it. Just remember that I am here to help you along the way. Please keep an open mind to learning and be respectful to yourself and others. We are in this together and together we can make this an excellent learning experience and have a memorable school year.

My ambition is to help you succeed in school. I hope that by taking my class you will become a better student, you will be able to make informed decisions, you learn to investigate topics in depth and that you will develop skills that will serve you in life. I am looking forward to growing and learning with you!

Again, welcome to my class. I’m glad you are here!
