This is my 19th year in teaching and my first year in the Jefferson City Public Schols. I am excited to be a part of the Jefferson City School system. My career has been spent split between special education and regular education as a teacher. The last three years I spent at Fulton School Distrist. Last year I taught 5th grade and the preious two years I was an elementary special education teacher at Bartley Elementary. This year I am teaching special education at both Pioneer Trail and Moreau Heights.
I have lived and owned a home in Jefferson City for 6 years. I love the small town feel of living in this community. Being a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Jefferson City is an important part of my life.
My oldest son Josh and his wife Pam live in Linn along with my grandson Connor who will be a 2nd grader this year. He has an extra special place in my heart because we share a birthday. My youngest son Michael and his wife Sydney live in Columbia, so I feel very blessed to have my family so close. A black goldendoodle rounds out my family. He seems to take the most time and attention. He is named after Mizzou's mascot, Truman because I am a big fan of Mizzou football and basketball.
I spend a lot of my free time riding my bike on the Katy Trail. I rode over 1,100 miles this summer on the trail. I also enjoy working in my yard and doing projects around my house.
If you want to contact me by phone, the best time to contact me at Moreau Heights is 573-659-3180. I will also be happy to respond by email.
