Summer School
Enrollment & Transportation
JC Schools is excited to offer a four-week summer school program during summer 2026.
Families are encouraged to enroll no later than April 4 to guarantee enrollment and transportation, if needed.
Schools will communicate with their families regarding summer school details and specific information for enrollment.
Families still needing to enroll their students in summer school should contact their child’s school. Students will attend summer school based on their grade for the upcoming school year. More information on summer school locations is listed below.
Elementary & Middle Schools
Families with incoming kindergarten students will complete summer school enrollment when registering for kindergarten with the Welcome Center.

Current JC Schools students in grades K-7 should be receiving the Summer School Enrollment & Transportation form from their building. These forms should be filled out or returned to the building secretary at your student’s current school as soon as possible.

Students currently in grades 8-11 must complete a Summer School Course Selection and Transportation form online. This form should be completed as soon as possible.

Summer School Dates & Times
Summer school runs Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 25 (four weeks, or 16 days, total). Summer school is Monday through Thursday each week.
Early Childhood Special Education: 8-11 a.m. or 12-3 p.m.
Grades K-8: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Grades 9-12: 7:40 a.m. - 3:40 p.m.
Summer School Locations
Elementary
The following elementary schools will be combined into host sites:
- Callaway Hills and North will attend summer school at North.
- Moreau Heights and East will attend summer school at East.
- Belair and West will attend summer school at Belair.
- Lawson (residents east of S. Country Club) and Cedar Hill will attend at Cedar Hill.
- Lawson (residents west of S. Country Club) and Pioneer Trail will attend at Pioneer Trail.
- Students at South, Thorpe Gordon, and JCECC (ECSE only 8-11 or 12-3) will attend summer school at their buildings.
Middle School
Students attending TJMS in the fall (grades 6-8) will go to summer school at Lawson Elementary.
Students attending LCMS in the fall (grades 6-8) will be held at Moreau Heights Elementary.
PLEASE NOTE: Summer school will NOT take place in the middle school buildings as the building will be under construction. The middle school buildings are undergoing renovations as a result of the Kids FIRST bond issue.
High School
Incoming ninth grade students (current eighth grade students) will attend summer school at the high school they will attend in the fall. An exception to this applies to any students who are not meeting the middle school accountability expectations and are notified directly by their current middle school.
Non-Public Students
Students who do not attend JC Schools can also enroll in summer school. To enroll, parents should begin a new student registration for the upcoming school year.
While completing enrollment, you will have the option to choose "summer school only" for June of this year.
