JC Schools Preschool: Preschool classes for children ages three, four and five years are available. Children must be three years of age before August 1 in order to attend. For information about the preschool, contact the Early Childhood Office at 659-3026.
Early Childhood Special Education: Program services are available for 3- and 4-year-old children with disabilities. Identified children must meet the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education guidelines as being eligible for special services. Children may be served in a self-contained classroom or on a home-resource basis.
The Parents as Teachers program is designed to help parents be more effective teachers of their children during the preschool years. The program is available to all parents of children from prenatal to kindergarten entry. There is no cost to the participants. Program offerings include home visits, parent meetings, developmental screenings, and a resource network. Those interested in enrolling in this program should contact the Early Childhood Office at 659-3026.
