Middle Schools
Students in grades 6-8 attend one of two middle schools. These schools are designed to help students make the transition from self-contained classrooms in elementary schools to the choices they will be making in high school.
Students at each grade level are divided into teams. Each team works with four teachers in the core subjects of math, science, social studies, and language arts. Students have exploratory blocks, which contain classes such as technology, foreign language, physical education, art, and music. Middle school students also have the opportunity to participate in orchestra, band, choir, sports, extracurricular activities, school clubs, and organizations.
Both schools are identical in physical design. The buildings are divided into wings - one for each grade level.
