JC Schools Announces New Deputy Superintendent Dr. Heather Beaulieu
Dr. Beaulieu’s 26-year career in education will greatly benefit district’s K-12 efforts
JEFFERSON CITY – The Jefferson City School District today announced that Dr. Heather Beaulieu has been named as the district’s new deputy superintendent beginning July 1, 2022. Dr. Beaulieu will succeed Mr. Bryan McGraw, who will transition to the role of superintendent.
“The Jefferson City School District is blessed to have a professional with the caliber of Dr. Heather Beaulieu on our leadership team. I am confident she will continue her efforts to improve and grow our district in this new role,” incoming superintendent Bryan McGraw said. “Dr. Beaulieu’s experience, educational track record and commitment to collaboration will be a benefit to all JC Schools staff and students as she expands her influence to both elementary and secondary.”
Dr. Beaulieu has been an educator for 26 years, serving most recently as the district’s Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education for the 2021-2022 school year. During this time, she has worked to strengthen the district’s focus in the area of mathematics, including professional development opportunities and curriculum writing, as well as developed an elementary tutoring program and phonics focus group. Prior to her current position, Dr. Beaulieu served as the principal at West Elementary for three years.
“My drive and passion are always focused on providing a high-quality education to all students from pre-K to grade 12 in the Jefferson City School District,” Dr. Heather Beaulieu said. “The position of assistant superintendent has allowed me to lead our elementary efforts across the district. I plan to utilize that experience and use the knowledge I have gained to help carry out our mission of ensuring that each JC Schools student reaches his/her full potential.”
Dr. Beaulieu and her husband Todd, an English teacher at Capital City High School, are grateful to have been welcomed into the Jefferson City community, and continue to love working with all staff, students and families.
Throughout her 26-year career, Dr. Beaulieu has worked as an elementary teacher, a middle school teacher, an assistant elementary principal, and an elementary principal. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Missouri Western University and her Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration from Northwest Missouri State University. She completed her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership at Baker University.
