AMI Days

For the 2025-2026 school year, JC Schools will utilize Alternative Methods of Instruction for students.

The district has approximately five AMI days (36 hours) to use, and our current plan is to use all five AMI days the first five days we are not in session for inclement weather. When the decision is made to cancel school, the district will announce whether that day will be an AMI day or a traditional snow day.

After our five AMI days are used, the district will use traditional snow days if necessary and assess whether those days will be made up according to the 2025-2026 student calendar.

Our goal in developing an AMI plan is to provide an alternative opportunity on inclement weather days that is simple and easily accessible for our students, families, and staff alike.
