A little about myself: This is my 22nd year of teaching! However, this is my 6th year at East School as a Reading Interventionist! My first 16 years of teaching were spent at Belair Elementary where I taught 5th, 1st, and 2nd grades!
I attended college at Hannibal LaGrange University in Hannibal, MO, and received my Master's in Education at the University of Missouri/Columbia. I also completed a 2nd Master's in Reading and Curriculum from Northwest Missouri State University. I have been married to Mr. Long for 20 years, and we are the proud parents of 14-year-old triplets! We also have a sweet, spunky 9-year-old. I have finally accomplished a dream of mine... to have a therapy dog that could come to school with me each day! This will be Dottie's 3rd year at East School with me and I think everyone can agree that she has been one of the best additions to the Eagle family! Our family loves to go on vacation, whether that is near or far! I also love coffee, Target, reading, and singing.
