Degrees and Certifications:

Dr. Brianna Fankhauser

Reading Specialist

Hello, my name is Brianna Fankhauser and this will be my third year as a reading specialist at East Elementary School.

I grew up in KC and graduated from Oak Grove High School. In the fall of 2007, I moved to Jefferson City to attend Lincoln University on a softball scholarship. While playing softball for the Blue Tigers, I pursued my dream of becoming a teacher. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in the fall of 2011 and immediately started working for the Jefferson City School District at Moreau Heights Elementary School as a 4th and 5th grade teacher. In 2020, I was a part of the JCSD virtual elementary team and taught first grade online. I have furthered my education by receiving my Masters in Elementary Education from LU in 2011, my Specialist in Curriculum Leadership from WWU in 2020, and my Masters in Reading Instruction through WWU in the summer of 2022, and my Doctorate in Educational Leadership through WWU in the spring of 2023.

My husband Tyler is a Missouri Options teacher at CCHS as well as a football coach.  We have a five-year-old son, Pierce. We love to play sports, bake (Nailed It style), sing, and make messes.

I am so excited to spend my 12th year as an educator at East Elementary School!
