I would like to take a few moments to introduce myself. This will be my 24th year of teaching, my 14th year at Jefferson City Schools. I have a Masters of Arts degree in Teaching and Leadership, and I have my English as a Second Language Endorsement. As an educator, I value my job and the opportunity that I will have to teach children the requirements they will need to complete by the end of this school year successfully. Their success in my classroom is my number one priority.
I am originally from a small town in central Illinois named Pontiac. My mom and dad still live there. I have an older sister who teaches fifth grade. I went to college in Bloomington, Illinois at Illinois State University and worked there for 2½ years as a first and second grade teacher. I then lived in Chicago and taught kindergarten in the suburbs, then moved here to Jefferson City and worked four years as a kindergarten teacher in Versailles. My parent’s have a summer home at the Lake of the Ozarks, and I have spent much time there. I now live in Jefferson City. I have a wonderful husband, two beautiful daughters, Bella and Charlee, and an adorable dog named Gizmo. I really enjoy riding bikes, running, playing games, scrapbooking and swimming!
You will see my beautiful daughters in the picture, Bella and Charlee! They will be 15 years old and 12 years old in October. They are the joys of our lives and we are so proud of them. Bella is a Freshman at Capital City High School and Charlee is in 6th grade at Thomas Jefferson Middle School
