  • This will be my 18th year of teaching at North School... it is my 16th year teaching Kindergarten! I have my Master's Degree in Teaching & Technology from William Woods University.

I have many pets. Molly and Maximus my dogs; Petree my bird; and several fish. I also have several cows on my family's farm.

I love to visit Orlando! It's my home away from home! Last summer I decided that I enjoy it so much that I became a travel planner with MickeyTravels to help other families experience the magic!

Some of my other favorite things include Starbucks, peanut M&Ms, watching movies, spending time with my family and friends, the color pink, and anything that sparkles!

I’m dedicated to making this a busy, productive, and fantastic year for all of my students. In order for your child to excel in school, you and I will need to be a team. I feel it is important for you to review concepts we are covering in the classroom as well as read, read and read some more. The more vocabulary your child hears, the easier it will be for them to learn to read. Picture books are great to read to them but also start introducing them to easy chapter books. Nonfiction material is also very important too. By reading signs, maps, grocery lists, menus or newspaper articles, you will show your child that reading is an important skill that adults use daily. Together we can make a great team for your child!
