  • I began my career as an educator at School of the Osage teaching kindergarten.  In 2009 I moved to Jefferson City where I taught kindergarten at West Elementary.  Three years later I joined the Reading Recovery team and was placed at East Elementary where I served as a Reading Interventionist and Literacy Coach.  In 2014 I got the opportunity to become the Library/Media Specialist at East.  This will be my fifth year as a library/media specialist and I cannot wait to work with the students and staff at North.

I love my job because I get to work with every person that walks the halls of our school.  I love that I am able to not only introduce students to great books, but also get to teach them how to be consumers of information, creators, and critical thinkers.  One of the best parts of my job is creating fun, engaging learning experiences for students and then watching them as they learn!

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, shopping, working out, going to concerts, and completing DIY projects.  I think we are never too old to learn and I enjoy trying new things and going on adventures!
