This is my third year teaching for JCPS, and it is my fourteenth year of teaching overall. This year I will be a Reading Interventionist and will provide reading services through the use of small groups and individualized instruction. I previously taught third grade for three years in Hannibal, MO, two years in Sedalia, MO, and then taught sixth grade English in California, MO, for six years. For the past two years, I've taught fifth grade at Belair Elementary. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in education from Hannibal LaGrange University and earned my master's degree in Teaching with Technology from William Woods University. I also have some training in Reading Recovery.
I come from a family of educators and always wanted to be a teacher. My husband is currently a chaplain for hospice but has also served as a pastor. We have three children, a sixth-grade daughter at TJ, a second-grade son at Belair, and our newest son, who is seven months old. Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, and blogging.
I will be splitting my time daily between West Elementary and Moreau Heights this year. The best way to contact me is through email.
