I graduated from Lincoln University with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I then went on to University of Missouri-Columbia and received my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Recently, I completed coursework to gain my reading certification.While attending University of Missouri Columbia, I taught fourth grade at Hallsville Elementary. The following year, I began teaching at Thorpe Gordon, I was a classroom teacher for eight years. I taught Reading Recovery/Title 1 groups for four years. I was able to teach students at East and Moreau Heights the gift of reading. This year, I am excited about my new role as an Instructional Literacy Coach for East Elementary and Moreau Heights Elementary. With this new role, I am gaining additional knowledge on coaching, literacy, and instructional practices. I'm excited to continue to learn and grow professionally!
