    Communication--Friday Folder

This year your 3rd grader will have a take home folder that will go home every Friday. Included in the Friday Folder will be the newsletter, the Weekly Classroom Update, any graded work that needs to come home, and any papers from the office that need to go home. The folder will go home on Friday and need to come back to school on Monday.

    Communication--Classroom Newsletter

On Fridays, our classroom newsletter will come home in your child's Take Home Folder. This is one way you can easily stay informed about what is going on in the classroom. You will find information about special events, upcoming specials schedule, what we are working on that week, and other important information. Once you have read the newsletter, it's' a good idea to keep it on your fridge for the week.

    Communication--Classroom Website

Another way I communicate with parents is through our classroom website. This website contains our schedule, my contact information, weekly newsletters, website links, etc.

    Communication--Remind App.

One of the most frequent ways I communicate with parents is with Remind. This is a service that allows me to send all of my parents text messages from my phone. I send a few text messages a week to remind you of upcoming events and special information. I may also message you individually or you can message me. This is another great way for you to stay involved in your child's classroom!

    Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays in our classroom! If you choose to send in special treats for your child's birthday, please make sure that they are store bought and individually wrapped. It is best to avoid anything with nuts due to the large amount of nut allergies. Please let me know in advance that you would like to send in treats so that I can make plans for it. We will enjoy birthday treats before dismissal. If your child has a summer birthday, you may send in treats on their half birthday.
