Jefferson City has been 'home' for thirty plus years since my husband and I relocated here in 1984. We raised three daughters, which are Jefferson City High School graduates! I am a two time cancer survivor!! I enjoy traveling the great USA, quilting/crafting, and gardening. My community involvement includes weekly bible study for adults with physical and cognitive disabilities. Our family is complete with one dog, Einstein.
In August 1999, I joined the Jefferson City Public School system as a Para-Professional. When my second born encountered challenges with reading, I developed a desire to support her learning style which led me to pursue Elementary Education and furthermore, Special Education. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education from Columbia College. This year is my ninth year of serving/teaching in the Life Skills classroom.
Upon graduating Nevada High School, I was a member of the Missouri Army National Guard for six years. I consider my service to Jefferson City students as valuable as the responsibilities I held serving in the Guard. Serving students is my passion! I am honored to serve the students of Jefferson City!
