• My Family

    ·       This is my eleventh year teaching Kindergarten at East Elementary and I am very excited about being here.  This school is just like a family to me.  We all work together to guide each child to success.

    ·       I did my schooling at William Woods University receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood.  I furthered my education by getting my Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration.  I graduated December 2012.

    ·       Why I choose to be a teacher occurred when I was doing work study at the Fulton Preschool.  I loved being able to walk into smiling faces and hugs everyday.  Then seeing over time how much each child had grown through the year intrigued me.  I chose the younger ages because they are so willing and wanting to learn.  They make each day special for me.  I want to know I have made a difference in somebody’s life and teaching is where I am able to do that.

    ·       My hobbies are softball, any outdoor activities, and spending time with my husband, Craig, step-son, Cohen, and son, Peyton.
