Hello Friends!

Welcome to Southwest Early Childhood Center! Here, we are eager to serve the community with all of the early childhood educational needs: Pre-Kindergarten, Early Childhood Special Education, and Parents As Teachers (PAT)!

Allow me to introduce myself... My name is Danielle Westmoreland. I am a proud Jefferson City High School graduate, and attended the JC School District from Kindergarten to graduation! I then attended Lincoln and Mizzou for my undergrad. I earned both my masters and specialist from William Woods University. I have previously been a teacher and coach with Mexico School District and a Process Coordinator with Fulton Public Schools. Before Southwest, I loved every minute of my time as a Behavior Interventionist and Assistant Principal at Pioneer Trail Elementary. 

Parents and guardians, I personally want to thank each of you for taking ownership of your child's education, and we do not take lightly that we are at the start of their educational career. Whether you utilize our PAT program (which can start from prenatal all the way to Kindergarten), transitioning from First Steps, inquiring special education testing, or enrolling your student for a seat in our building, we know the process can seem big and changes are hard! As a mama of two boys (4 year old and 1 year old), I know you are entrusting us with your greatest treasure in life. We promise at Southwest that we will cherish their little hearts, grow their brains, create lots of social opportunities with their friends, and build on the skills you are sending them off with. It takes a community to create fantastic beings, so we are honored to be part of that for your child or children.
