My name is Jessica Long and this will be my 17th year at Cedar Hill Elementary School. I am quite familiar with Cedar Hill because I completed my student teaching here and was a full time substitute teacher during the 2008-2009 school year. I also had the pleasure of attending Cedar Hill when I was a child for kindergarten through fifth grade. Our kindergarten class was my kindergarten class as well! My overall experience at Cedar Hill has been wonderful which is why I wanted to teach here as well.
I was born and raised in Jefferson City. I attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Psychology in December of 2005. I later attended Columbia College where I obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching Degree in May of 2009. I also possess a specialist degree in K-12 administration from Northwest Missouri State.
I currently reside in Jefferson City with my husband of 18 years and we have a son who is 15 and a daughter who is 12. My life as a mother, teacher, and wife is very rewarding and I look forward to growing with my students every year!
