Hi! My name is Lindsey Wilde (pronounced Will-Dee, not wild!). This is my 11th year of teaching, and my fifth year teaching in Jefferson City Public Schools. I am so excited to be on the Thorpe Gordon team!
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I have an older brother, Greg, and a younger brother, Rob. My teaching career started after graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri in 2011. In 2012, I completed the one-year Teaching Fellowship Program through the University of Missouri that resulted in earning my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My placement was in a third grade classroom at Lawson Elementary School in the Hazelwood School District. After finishing my masters, I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, and taught for two years at Catherine Strehle Elementary School in Avondale, Louisiana. There, I taught 5th Grade Social Studies and Science and then 1st grade the following year. In 2014, I moved to Jefferson City, Missouri, and taught third grade at South Elementary School in Eldon, MO, for three years. I am so excited to continue teaching third graders at Thorpe Gordon!
Currently, I live in Jefferson City with my husband, Drew, our son, Tripp, and our daughter, Camryn. We also have golden retriever named Daisy and a cat named Kiko. In my free time, I like to do puzzles, listen to music, read, and watch movies.
