    Car Riders:

The following are procedures for car riders at LCMS:

    • When you drop off or pick up students, please use the lower Lewis and Clark Drive entrance off of Eastland Drive, closest to Casey’s.
    • The drop-off and pick-up areas are on the east side of the school on Blazer Trail Rd.
    • The upper drive of Lewis and Clark Drive is closed to car traffic and reserved for buses only
    • There is no through traffic in front of the building during drop-off or pick-up times, that is reserved for buses only.
    • Please be patient as the car rider line may be long.
    • Please do not pass cars as they are waiting in line.
    • The front teacher parking lot will also have buses parked in that area.  There will be no through traffic until buses have left.

    Drop-off:

The following are procedures for dropping students off in the morning before school at LCMS:

    • There will be staff members directing you during drop-off. Students will enter the building through Door #13.
    • Pull forward all the way to the the shed so that multiple students can be dropped off at the same time.
    • Students will need to remain in their vehicles until 8:20 a.m.
    • At 8:20 a.m. doors will open and students will report directly to their Blazertime. There will be staff throughout the building ready to greet students and help them get to their classroom.
    • Vehicles will need to exit through the lower Lewis and Clark Drive entrance.

    Pick-up:

The following are procedures for picking students up after school at LCMS:

    • Please communicate with your student each day so they know how they are going home.
    • Students will remain in the building until their name is called. Students will assemble in the cafeteria at 3:50 where they will be placed by grade level.
    • The pick-up area is the same area as the drop-off.
    • Please enter and exit using the lower Lewis and Clark Drive entrance and continue on Blazer Trail Rd.
    • We would like for parents to have a sign in the window with the names and grade levels of all the students you will be picking up.  If not, a staff member will ask you for the names of the students you are picking up and the radio for them to come outside.
    • Staff will be there to direct vehicles into two lines. Once all vehicles are loaded, staff will release each line and the next set of vehicles will move forward.
    • If your car rider is not in the holding area, we will page for them in the school.  If they do not respond, you will be required to exit the drop-off area and reenter the line.
    • Please remind your rider it is important that they are in the car rider holding area on time, seated, their voice volume level is at a #2 as staff call out names.
