I have been privileged to teach at Lawson Elementary School for 22 years! Before teaching here, I taught 2 years of elementary music at Bartley Elementary in Fulton, MO and 2 years of junior high and high school band and choir at Cole Co. R-V School District (Eugene, MO). I have my master's degree in Education from William Woods University. I am a proud alumnus of MSU in Springfield (my hometown) with an undergraduate degree in Music Education, with an emphasis in voice and french horn. 
I have been living in Jefferson City for 27 years and my husband and I have been involved in many local music activities. I have played with the Jefferson City Symphony and the other local orchestras, have directed several musicals and dramas at Jefferson City Little Theater and Stained Glass Theatre and conducted adult and children's church choirs.  I am proud to be the vocalist for the Kapitol Kicks Jazz Band. We have one daughter and 2 sweet dogs, and my family are all musicians living in Missouri. I love to read, bake and travel, and I collect instruments from all of the interesting places that we visit. I have an amazing staff here, and I love being a Lawson lion!
