My name is Anneliese Smith and I am excited to be your child's fifth grade teacher! I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Westminster College in 2002 and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from William Woods University in 2009. I am entering my 22nd year of teaching. I spent ten years teaching second grade and one year teaching first grade for the South Callaway R-II School District. This is my eleventh year at Lawson. The first four years I taught third grade, and this is my seventh year in fifth grade.
I grew up in St. Louis, so I am a HUGE St. Louis sports fan. I love watching Cardinals baseball and Blues hockey! My family still lives in St. Louis, so I return as much as possible to visit. I love to read. My favorite reading genre is mysteries, because I love to put the clues together to solve the mystery before the characters in the story do. I also enjoy listening to live music. I just can't stop myself from dancing and singing along. I enjoy traveling to new places, and exploring the outdoors.
