As a Professional Skills teacher at Lewis and Clark Middle School (LCMS), my mission is to serve as a positive role model, while providing a supportive environment conducive to learning academic, daily living, and pre-vocational skills.
I was born and raised in Columbia, MO, but I've come to love the Jefferson City community! Although I don't have children of my own, I'm the proud uncle of triplets (Fisher, Bella, and Carter, age 19).
I earned my bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri - Columbia (GO TIGERS!), before returning to Columbia College to earn my teaching certificate and work on my Masters degree in teaching.
My occupational experience includes extensive experience (twenty years) working in the social services field for the Missouri Department of Mental Health and this is my 9th year at LCMS!
My hobbies include watching and playing sports (primarily golf), reading, and riding my mountain bike.
