Hello! My name is Mikayla Patterson, and I am the new teacher here at Lawson Elementary. This will be my first year as a teacher. But, this is not my first time at Lawson! Not only did I do my Student Teaching in this classroom, but I also was a Lawson Lion from 06-11!

I attended Missouri State University until the fall of last year. I spent the rest of last school year as the building sub here at Lawson. 

I am excited to put my knowledge I have acquired to use this first year, as well as learn along with the students, towards making this the best First Grade ever!
