Welcome to math class!

My name is Rachel Ponce-Castillo. You may call me Ms. Rachel. I am so excited to help you learn and grow as a student. I know what you are thinking... I hate math or I'm not good at math... But let me tell you, math isn't all that bad once you give it a chance! It is my job to HELP you be successful as a student. I will be there for you, work with you, and push you! I hope that we can become partners in your education.  I want to ensure we develop a relationship that values openness, support, and communication.

The first part of creating a classroom full of successful students is to make sure everyone feels comfortable.  Our community will be made up of unique individuals, each with their own learning styles, interests, history, hopes, and dreams.

We will, of course, get to know each other over the school year.
