Geometry36 weeks total Credit 1.0Geometry emphasizes reasoning and logical thinking. This course connects geometry to algebra, data analysis, probability, and trigonometry. Specific topics include transformations, polygons, Cartesian coordinate system, area of plane figures, surface area and volume of solids and a review of Algebra I skills. This is a course for students who expect to continue their study of mathematics in high school, technical school, or college. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Algebra IA and IB or Algebra I.
