Students will be introduced to welding theories, safety requirements, cutting techniques, and welding terminology. Instruction will be given in gas, stick, MIG and plasma cutting. Students learn real-world applications of welding through labs and hands-on training. Welding II progresses to cover topics such as stick, advanced MIG and TIG processes. Students will work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The objective of this program is to prepare graduates with the skills needed for entry-level employment as a welder or welding technician and/or post secondary education.
