Members pay $10.00/year in dues. These dues support TJ PTO's affiliation with national and state PTA/PTO associations. As a member family, you can participate in as many or as few ways as you are able. There are several opportunities each school year for volunteering at events and attending monthly meetings. You can provide donations for activities, and promote PTO to others. TJ PTO raises funds that go toward: Providing stipends to teachers for classroom extras district budgets may not allocate for. Organizing an annual staff appreciation event. Designing and distributing spirit wear (T-shirts, etc.) Delivering meals to teachers during conferences. Planning grade level social events for students You can contribute by: Coming to the monthly meetings/sharing ideas. Staffing various events throughout the year. Donating food for teachers during school events. Purchasing TJ PTO spirit wear for your student and/or family. Making a donation to our annual alternative fundraiser. Raising funds through traditional fundraisers. Chaperoning student events like class parties or Fun Run. Promoting PTO membership to others. Interacting with the TJ community via our Facebook page. Interested in Scouts BSA?Girls ages 11-17 can join Scouts BSA beginning February 1, 2019. A brand new, all girls troop is being
formed now. An informational meeting for all girls AND parents is scheduled for Monday, December
17th at 7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Jefferson City. The meeting will be in Room 512 (just
below the Boy Scout Troop 11 meeting). This new all girls troop is different from Girl Scouts, and girls
can be enrolled in both programs. Scouts BSA is a youth organization that promotes life-long skills and
abilities, character development, citizenship, and mental and physical fitness for everyone.

Volunteers from the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) will be at TJ every Tuesday from 3:00-4:30pm. Students will meet in the 7th gade Commons starting on Tuesday, September 4th. (There will not be tutoring on Tuesdays before holiday breaks. Watch the TJMS announcements.) The tutors will help student with general math homework. Student may attend when they need help and stay as long as they need until 4:30pm. We ask that students stay at tutoring until their ride is here. School expectations continue throughout tutoring. Please note that transportation is not provided.
