Hello, I'm Mrs. Bews and I will be your child's 5th grade this year! I am so excited for the opportunity to learn and grow with each and every one of your students!

A little about me... This is my 15th year teaching. I have 5 Years in 2nd grade, and 10 years in 4th and 5th. Fun fact… This summer I moved from the state of California to the town of California! 

I believe that a positive classroom environment is the #1 most important key to student success. I love building connections with each student and encourage them to push themselves beyond what they think is possible. However, I believe in hard work, independence, and problem solving, so there may be times when they will be asked to trudge through difficult tasks on their own!

I have been with my husband, Josh, for 23 years and we have two beautiful children, Alex, who is 14, and Addison, who is 9.

In my spare time I love to box, attend sporting events, and spend time with family and friends. I spent 5 years on the board of directors for my son's baseball league and have coached him in numerous sports for 10 years. I play softball, volleyball, and trained in a boxing gym the last 10 years! Being busy makes me happy! Both of my children are also involved in an assortment of activities as well.
