Welcome to 6th grade Special Education Math! This is my first year teaching with the Jefferson City School District; however, this will be my 6th year in the District as I was a Paraprofessional before starting my teaching career. This is my first year teaching 6th grade math and I am excited about starting this new journey. I graduated from Fatima High School, Westphalia, MO in 1994. I have a Masters in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, Phenox, AZ, BS Criminal Justice and AA Human Services from Columbia College, Columbia, MO.
My interests and hobbies include spending time with my family, my pets (3 dogs and 1 cat), sports, taking car rides, and collecting sports cards.
My philosophy is that all students can learn. Like finger prints, each one is different and every student has a different learning style. Thus, my teaching style will encourage individualism and promote students to be active while learning. Students will not only learn to work as an individual but as a team as well.
