Background
Since I graduated from Drury in 1992 which was the same year the World Wide Web was invented, I didn't grow up with computer technology like my students have. Instead, I found my interest in computers and computer technology through my work and education at Columbia College. Since web technologies were in their infancy at the time, I fell into computers because they fascinate me and because I have an aptitude for technology and problem-solving.
I sharpened my technology skills through my work at Metro Business College and South Callaway Schools. In my 10 years at South Callaway, I was a half-time teacher and half-time computer support person performing duties related to hardware troubleshooting and repair, software installation and configuration, web development, networking, and technology training.
What I Bring to the Computer Technology Program
I bring many years of practical experience with a variety of technologies. The 10 years I worked and taught at South Callaway provided me with experience working with many different types of technologies including installing and maintaining networks, installing and maintaining computers, designing and maintaining the district web site, and supporting the district teachers in their use of computer hardware and software.pasting
