     Mr. McFall
  • My name is Ryan McFall and I am excited to be starting my 4th year in education and 4th year in the JCPS district. I grew up around Kansas City and graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in K-12 Instrumental Music. In addition to teaching band at Thomas Jefferson, I will be teaching over at Capital City alongside Head Director, Mr. Kevin Blair.

When I am not at school, I can be found spending time outside with friends and family, on the golf course, or in the kitchen making up food recipes. I love rooting on my Mizzou Tigers, Royals, STL Blues, the Chiefs, and Sporting KC.

In my class, I strive to create an environment where students feel safe, empowered by a shared experience and encouraged to learn from their mistakes. In the musical arts, we become unified as a family and learn to help each other when we face difficult challenges. Music is an emotional art as well as a technical one. My students learn that it is 100% OK to feel emotions and use music to express them in different ways. I am looking forward to sharing music with the students at TJ and Capital City.
