Welcome to 10th Grade Biology!!
Hello, everyone!
I'm so excited to have you in class this year as we dive into the amazing world of biology. Together, we'll explore the science of life--from the smallest cells to entire ecosystems--using an approach that will make you feel like real scientists.
We will be continuing to the Storyline Approach, which means you won't just learn biology; you'll live it! You'll connect ideas, solve problems, and build knowledge step-by-step, just like scientists do in the real world.
For example, we might begin by asking:
- Why does climate change matter to living things?
- How do disease spread and evolve?
- What makes you "you" at the DNA level?
Each question will guide us through new units where you'll collect evidence, make predictions, and use your creativity and critical thinking skills to find answers. Expect a lot of collaboration, hands-on experiments, and opportunities to present your ideas.
Biology is about curiosity and discovery, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. By the end of this year, my goal is that you'll not only understand the science of life but also feel empowered to apply it to your own lives and the world around you.
Let's make this an incredible year together!!
Here's to discovering the stories of life, one question at a time!
