  • Today is Thursday, September 5 2024

    • Seniors - counselors will be available before school on Thur and Fri mornings from 7:10 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. and then after school on Mon-Wed from 3:40-4:40 to assist with scholarships, FAFSA, and college applications.  No sign ups necessary. (CAN WE READ ON FRI and WED)

     

    • Reminder -  make sure your parking tag is visible. Random walk-throughs will start this week. If your hang tag is not displayed correctly, you may assume a fine.  

     

    • Hey JCHS! Don't forget to bring $3 tomorrow to sip in style with the Red and Black Pop Shop! Grab your favorite drink and show your school spirit during your lunch shift! 


    • There will be a boys basketball meeting Tuesday, September 10th at 8:15am in the gym.


    • During your lunch period, you have the opportunity to buy the JC Spirit Pack, which includes a new design sweatshirt, t-shirt, sticker, tattoos, and pompoms for $40. See Mrs. Meckee, an executive member, for more information.

    • A reminder boys and girls wrestling preseason will start next week on Monday and Tuesday after school from 4 to 5:30. Any questions or help signing up see coach Lubert in room 463.

     

    • Exciting news! The voting for court starts today. Be sure to hop on over to our class Google Classroom to cast your vote. 

     

    • Homecoming is September 21st. Students must have 90% attendance to participate in dances. 90% is missing no more than 2 non-documented absences the day ticket sales start on September 16th. See your principal to learn how to make up the days. Need to turn in attendance documentation, please bring excused absences to the front main office.

    • Also, tomorrow is the last day to turn in your signed permission slip for the Mizzou Bus trip.  See Ms. Dulce in Counseling for more information.

    • THIS FRIDAY IS OUR FIRST FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL HOME GAME. THE JAYS WILL BATTLE THE CAMDENTON LAKERS AT 7:00 PM AT ADKINS STADIUM. REMEMBER, HOME GAMES ARE FREE ADMISSION TO JC STUDENTS WITH YOUR STUDENT ID! Our football team is wearing all black so let’s show our school spirit and match our players by wearing black.

    • THIS SATURDAY, BOYS VARSITY AND JV SOCCER WILL GO HEAD TO HEAD AGAINST MOBERLY HIGH SCHOOL. JV STARTS AT 9:00 AM, FOLLOWED BY VARSITY AT 11.

    • If you are interested in being on box crew and helping prepare the senior bonfire, please talk to Kaden Rezabek, Eathan Johnson, Mrs.McKee, Mrs.Hood, and Coach luebbert about getting an application. Applications are due on September the 4th to Mrs.McKee's room, 337.

    • Parking tags will be distributed at lunch today.  You must have paid for your spot and have your drivers license to receive your parking tag.

    • Students be mindful of what you are wearing to school each day.  Half shirt/midriff tops are not allowed as well as super short shorts and skirts.  If you are unable to wear the appropriate clothing to school, administration will have additional shirts, shorts, and pants in the office for you to wear while at school. 

    • Juniors and Seniors interested in signing up for a college bus tour, should check their graduation google classroom for more information or stop by counseling.

    • Seniors and Juniors interested in joining the military that need to take the ASVAB can sign up for the exam for Sept 4th. Please sign up for the exam in counseling. 

    • Sophomores and Juniors interested in taking the PSAT should bring $20 to counseling to sign up. More information in your counseling google classroom.
