    • Congratulations to the Jays JV football team for their win over Capital City last night! The score was 20-14, GO JAYS

     

    • Sports update: Our soccer team is traveling to Sedalia to play Smith-Cotton, Lady Jay's volleyball team is traveling to Camdenton, and Lady Jays Softball will go against Battle here starting at 5 PM.

    • Congratulations to the Marching Jay Band. They traveled Saturday to Lafayette Contest of Champions.  Jay Band placed 2nd in their division in prelims and 7th overall with another 2nd place division score in finals.  Their next competition is October 12th at the University of Missouri, Columbia. 

     

    • FCCLA presents Friday Fright Movie Night, Kick off this Spooky Season with a fun movie night with a blanket and friends! October 4th in the gym, Doors open from 5:30 to 6:30pm, We will not welcome anyone after this time, Student ID is required, General admission $5 and Candy bags are $3. 

     

    •  My name is Jacqueline Rogers and I am honored to serve as your Student Body President for this school year. 

     

    • Congratulations to our Cross Country team for their success at Gans Creek on Saturday. Jenna Schnipper earned a medal for her 5th place finish, and several new PR's for Varsity and JV!

     

    • WE ARE ALL JAYS will be hosting a Kwik Lemonade Fundraiser on October 9 during lunch shifts.

  • Today is Thursday, September 5 2024

    • Seniors - counselors will be available before school on Thur and Fri mornings from 7:10 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. and then after school on Mon-Wed from 3:40-4:40 to assist with scholarships, FAFSA, and college applications.  No sign ups necessary. (CAN WE READ ON FRI and WED)

     

    • Reminder -  make sure your parking tag is visible. Random walk-throughs will start this week. If your hang tag is not displayed correctly, you may assume a fine.  

     

    • Hey JCHS! Don't forget to bring $3 tomorrow to sip in style with the Red and Black Pop Shop! Grab your favorite drink and show your school spirit during your lunch shift! 


    • There will be a boys basketball meeting Tuesday, September 10th at 8:15am in the gym.


    • During your lunch period, you have the opportunity to buy the JC Spirit Pack, which includes a new design sweatshirt, t-shirt, sticker, tattoos, and pompoms for $40. See Mrs. Meckee, an executive member, for more information.

     

    • Currently, cans will be collected during the fourth period, and the class that donates the most cans will receive a reward.

     

    • A reminder boys and girls wrestling preseason will start next week on Monday and Tuesday after school from 4 to 5:30. Any questions or help signing up see coach Lubert in room 463.

     

    • Exciting news! The voting for court starts today. Be sure to hop on over to our class Google Classroom to cast your vote. 

     

    • Homecoming is September 21st. Students must have 90% attendance to participate in dances. 90% is missing no more than 2 non-documented absences the day ticket sales start on September 16th. See your principal to learn how to make up the days. Need to turn in attendance documentation, please bring excused absences to the front main office.

    • Also, tomorrow is the last day to turn in your signed permission slip for the Mizzou Bus trip.  See Ms. Dulce in Counseling for more information.
