Jefferson City High School

Hello!!  My name is Jeff Cowart and I am excited about being at Jefferson City High School!  I will be teaching Government. I am very excited about teaching Government again because it is such an integral part of the American Experience. I began my career at New Bloomfield R-III and then moved on to Jefferson City School District.  I have taught Middle Ancient World History, Early American History, 8th Grade English, Pre-AP English I, English I, American Government, Modern World History, and Modern American History.  Just a bit about me...I am a husband, father, and teacher.  These are just a few of the hats I wear with pride.  I also am an announcer for Jays Baseball in the spring.  I am married to my beautiful wife Jenny and we have a wonderful daughter, Molly.  Fishing and hanging with my family are among my favorite pastimes.  I also enjoy meeting new students and aiding them on their journey to success.  This is not limited to the realm of academics... Part of our job is to offer that stability and support that will help teach the whole student about what they will need in life.
