Mrs. Dallas
Greetings! My name is Mallory Dallas. I will be your child’s subject contained reading and resource teacher this school year. This school year marks my fourteenth year of teaching. I grew up in Columbia, Missouri, where I participated in recreational sports, Girl Scouts, and school clubs. I am a graduate of Hickman High School class of 2005 and show my Kewpie pride. My husband and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary this year. My husband and I love watching our five and three-year-old sons grow and learn every day. We spend time playing catch with our Australian Shepard, Rango. In May of 2009, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education: Special Education K-12 from the University of Missouri. In December 2013, I graduated from William Woods University with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I began my teaching career with Jefferson City Public Schools at Simonsen Ninth Grade Center. I co-taught Algebra I, English I, and Earth Science for two years. After Simonsen, I taught sixth through eighth grade math, ELA, and the Wilson Reading System at Mexico Middle School. Then, I taught math, science, and P.E. at Jefferson City Academic Center (JCAC) Middle, an alternative school setting focused on student success for students in grades sixth through eighth. For the past five years, I taught resource and subject contained writing at Lewis and Clark Middle School. I am looking forward being a Jaybird and getting to know your child.
