• The Jefferson City School District has recently partnered with Care to Learn, a non-profit organization designed to meet student needs in the areas of health, hunger, and hygiene. The Care to Learn mission is to meet these needs so every student can be successful in school, while empowering school staff and faculty to be able to quickly respond to student needs.

If a JC School student's needs involve HEALTH, HUNGER, or HYGIENE, then Care to Learn can help! The types of needs included under these umbrellas include:
    • HEALTH: medical and dental health care; vision and glasses; transportation to/from medical appointments; prescriptions; assistive devices; pest control; and more.
    • HUNGER: school-site food pantries; emergency snacks at school; grocery vouchers; and more.
    • HYGIENE: school-site closets; personal hygiene items; clothing; shoes; coats and jackets; haircuts; and more.
If you have any questions about Care to Learn or ideas for collaboration, please reach out to Chris Dawson (chris.dawson@jcschools.us) or Kelly Markway (kelly.markway@jcschools.us). We truly want to create a school district where every student has the confidence, self-worth, and resources to maximize their learning potential.
