Award Info & Nomination Link
-
The JCPS Difference Maker Award is presented to district staff members and community partners who've gone above and beyond to serve our students, staff members and schools. Difference Makers are individuals, teams or groups who have made (or are making) a difference in our district. Nominate a Difference Maker here!
JCPS will thank all Difference Makers nominated, and some, like those pictured below, will be recognized monthly at the JCPS Board of Education meeting. We love to spotlight Difference Makers that are tied to each of our three organizational pillars: Learning, Partnerships and Stewardship.

Google Certified Educators, Level 1
To date, 50 JCPS staff members have mastered the technological skills needed to integrate Google tools into the classroom. These Difference Makers completed this task on their own time, outside of classroom work to help improve teacher efficiency, communication and student outcomes. Thank you for raising the bar!

Judge Mary Russell
Judge Mary Russell cracks the gavel at LCMS every Thursday at 7:30 am, calling truancy court to order, as she works with students who are struggling with attendance. She works with them to improve attendance, academics, behavior and weekly responsibility goals. Parents are also encouraged to attend and work with the school. Judge Russell has been doing this for over 10 years and continues to instill a good work ethic to our kids at LC. Her influence on these students is impactful. So much so that they often come back just to check in with Judge Russell.
