Visitors to the Jefferson City Public Schools will often see signs regarding "Fragrance Free" zones. We remind patrons of the district about fragrance free through signage and media releases. Products with fragrance may cause people with some chronic illnesses to suffer additional and extra symptoms and medical expenses. These include asthma, allergies, sinus problems, rhinitis and migraine headaches.

The Jefferson City School District has students, parents and staff with health conditions that are, at times, severely affected by fragrances. In an effort to help these people enjoy their experience with the Jefferson City Public School District, we respectfully request that all patrons that attend any JCPS event, be as fragrance free as possible by not wearing perfume, aftershave, scented lotions, fragranced hair products, and/or similar products.
