Construction at the newly-named Capital City High School is progressing at a notable pace for a new build. Rock blasting and tree clearing at the site began in the Spring of 2019, and the building is expected to be "under roof," with structural steel and concrete complete, before the end of 2018. Forty classrooms, common areas, kitchen facilities, administrative offices, and practice fields will be ready to receive 9th and 10th grade students in the Fall of 2019, with full project completion slated for late 2019.
