• Becky Pfenenger Headshot

  • Thank you for looking at the Wellness Website!  I am so excited to be a part of the JCPS!  A little about me...My name is Becky Pfenenger, I have a B.S. in Sports Medicine and I am an ACE certified Personal Trainer, and an ACE certified Health Coach. My specialties are in exercise program design and injury prevention. I love helping people learn how to make healthier choices, and learn how to "fit" fitness into their daily routine.
I am from the Russellville, MO area. I grew up on a farm outside of Russellville, and attended school there for 13 years. I was encouraged at a young age to be active. I worked on our farm and participated in every sport that was available to me. After graduating high school I attended college at Northwest Missouri State University. While there I played for the Bearcats Softball team. I came home for the summer and met my future husband, Dan Pfenenger. I then transferred to Lincoln University and continued to play softball for LU. After two years I decided that I wanted a career in Athletic Training and transferred to William Woods University where I received my B.S.
After graduation I worked for Tipton High School as an ISS teacher and Coach. I then worked for JCPS as a substitute teacher for a year and coached girls basketball for Helias High School. We then began our family and I was able to stay home for a few years. I decided to go back to work and worked at St. Peter Elementary as an aide and as the Athletic Director. After two years I then was led to the YMCA. I worked for the YMCA for eight years.
Being a busy mom of four I understand the importance of juggling work, home, and my health. It is not always an easy task to get everything done, but if something is important to you, amazingly it all fits in. I look forward to being a part of JC Schools and working on ways to help everyone find a way to 'fit" in a healthier lifestyle.
