    Abigail Gooch

Parent/Guardian Names:  James and Lanette Gooch

Academic Accomplishments: Since freshman year, I have maintained an unweighted GPA of 4.0. My ACT score is 35, which has opened up a lot of college and scholarship opportunities. At 15 years old, I was accepted into Mizzou as a non-degree seeking student, and have received 12 credit hours through them. Combined with college credit from AP and college level classes, I hope to enter college at a sophomore level.

College and Future Plans: Though I am still deciding on a college to attend, I have plans to major in Psychology and Neuroscience. I plan to study abroad and use my time in college to expand my knowledge of the world and the people in it.

    Owen Ramelb

Parent/Guardian Names: Michael Ramelb and Tami Ramelb

Academic Accomplishments: As you could probably assume before I say a word, I have good grades and a solid ACT score; I am in the 99th percentile of my class in terms of GPA and in the 95th percentile of ACT testers around the United States. With that being said, I don’t think either of those things are my greatest academic accomplishment. In my opinion, my greatest academic accomplishment is the way I handle adversity. Last year, I spent the school year in my room doing online school with Launch. This was extremely difficult and presented countless challenges, but I still ended the year with straight A’s. I firmly believe that a person can be measured by how well they handle challenges and setbacks, and I am very proud to say that I can attack challenges head on and learn from them.

College and future plans: Although I am not 100% certain on my future, I am interested in majoring in either accounting or finance. In terms of colleges, I am intrigued by and applying to the University of Kansas, Mizzou, and Washington University in St. Louis. In college, I’m going to push myself to join more clubs and organizations that don’t revolve around sports.
