  • JCHS Graduation Postponed to SAT 8/1 at 12:00pm

PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR A MESSAGE FROM JCHS PRINCPAL BOB JAMES:

    Good afternoon 2020 Senior Families,

Unfortunately, we have postponed our graduation commencement ceremony to tomorrow at 12 pm-noon. It seems as if we cannot catch a break in dealing with mother nature; we want to ensure that you have a dry ceremony focused on your class’s accomplishments instead of the weather and intermittent downpours.

If an indoor event becomes necessary, we will communicate again tomorrow at 8 am with further details.

We are planning to host tomorrow’s ceremony outdoors at Adkins Stadium at this time. As a reminder, umbrellas are allowed in the stadium just in case there is a chance of pop-up showers tomorrow or if you want a bit of extra shade.

Gates for guests will open at 11 am; all students must arrive at that time as well and report directly to staff located on the football field. We will have additional seating available for guests; families are welcome to sit where they would like. We will do our very best to seat students A-M on the right side of the stadium and students N-Z on the left side (as you face the field). Students graduating with Valedictorian or Salutatorian honors will be seated in the front row.

Diplomas will be available for pick up beginning Monday, August 3rd from 1 pm - 6 pm, or any business day after from 8 am - 3 pm.
Project Graduation is still on for this evening.

We are so excited to gather with you in celebration of THE great Class of 2020! Take care and see you soon! Go Jays!

    Bob James,
    JCHS Principal
